The potential for gaining experience exists. Some decent management exists.
Office management accessed software (issue/data/project tracking) used by individuals who worked on the floor.
Some projects that were initiated by production or a technician, which resulted in a problem being solved, would find their way into an engineer's personal portfolio, and the Jira ticket you created would magically disappear.
They get the credit and raise. You are dragged into a meeting in the cafeteria for some tea and told to "be careful about what you say because we would hate to lose you."
If you are given the opportunity to take someone else's work and claim it as your own, don't.
