The hiring and interview process was in three parts.

The first part of the interview was a 1:1 with the hiring manager.

The second part of the interview was with the direct supervisor.

Then I was given a fab tour by two different technicians.

I received an offer one week later.

Pros: Outstanding pay and benefits. Compressed shift means lots of time off.

Cons: No real management to speak of. It's every person for themselves.

Good company. A career ladder is possible at the "right" location

Pros: The opportunity for career growth at TI and the benefit of continuing education tuition assistance is a plus. Also, being able to work only "1/2" a year because of "shift" work allows individuals to spend more time at home or go to school and get paid as a "full" time employee. With shift work, you get paid time and a half after 8 hours.

Cons: Working at a fab out of Dallas can limit your opportunity for growth due to a limit of job openings.
