Starting salary is good, but raises are poor. Since Texas Instruments is the only major semiconductor company in the Dallas area, pay raises for those with 6+ years of experience are poor. Internal transfers are difficult, hence feelings of suffocation and hitting a plateau are common for folks with 6+ years of experience, also because the company does not invest in development.
