Pros

Culture has good values and hardworking people.

Work is interesting, and you meet a lot of talented, smart individuals.

They are very accepting of all races, cultures, orientations, and backgrounds, and they are always researching ways to be even better.

Cons

It's hard to move up from an individual contributor. There just aren't a lot of spots to fill unless you play the political game (drink the Kool-Aid).

The compensation seems to be lagging as of late. They sort of force you to either feel comfortable with your salary or consider what else is out there. They will always give you just enough meat on the bone to make you feel like it's worth staying, and that's even for an above-average performer.

Advice to Management

Be more open-minded with the culture, not so uptight and serious all the time.

Employees want to have fun where they work, especially when working on meeting intense and time-critical metrics. Don't forget to help us smell the roses.

Create opportunities for ICs to either lead others or work on projects where you can make more money. The measly 3-6% increases in pay start to get stale when it's a mix of individual performance and market atmosphere. It's simply not enough to combat inflation.
