Reasonably good team dynamics and a well-organized protocol for testing hardware. Usually, people from your team or another team will be available to assist if there are issues with testing or software. Tucson is a great place to live with a relatively low cost of living and many fun things to do outdoors, as well as a decent city culture. The 401k matching, even for interns, is a big plus. There's a rec room with ping pong, after-work fitness sessions, and a coffee/kitchen area available.
Not the youngest corporate culture. Tucson is extremely hot during the summer. Sometimes the availability of test equipment becomes a problem, but usually not bad enough to prevent work from getting done on a weekly scale.
Increase the number of available test equipment (HIB/CIB boards, different systems for test time).
Orientation for test equipment use was the most boring thing I've ever done, I think. That could use some revamping.
I applied through the website and got a call back a few weeks later. I had a phone interview which went really well and consisted mostly of my educational background, why I like analog electronics, and the various things on my resume. A month later
I had a behavioral interview first, where they asked me standard questions. The technical interview was harder, and I felt stumped on some questions. Overall, I had a good experience with the interview.
Two interviews. The first was behavioral and technical, with technical questions involving simple digital design. The second interview asked simple circuit analysis questions. The questions were not too difficult. The interview process was very easy.
