Pros: I liked working at Home Depot. They used the latest technologies and offered a good work-life balance.

Cons: Sometimes pair programming was boring.

Pros: The internships The Home Depot provides are really exceptional. They were well-organized. I met lots of new people and was able to network, and I learned a LOT about the corporate world (the good, the bad, and the ugly). Biggest pro? Nearly every intern (seriously – you'd have to do something awful not to) got a job offer at the end of the internship if you were graduating, or an invitation to return as an intern the next summer until you graduate.

Cons: Didn't receive much training, to be honest. However, I received an excellent education on what the corporate world might look like if I pursued a career with this or other companies. I was specifically an IT intern, and you are assigned to teams within the organization, so this may have been specific to the team to which I was assigned.

Pros: Lax, flexible, not always just desk work, very hands-on, lab exposure, good cafeteria, fun people.

Cons: Sometimes there's a shortage of intern work, and I have time to kill.
