Pros

I think the best that can be said about my time at THD is the people that I met and suffered with. It is a very oppressive atmosphere, but my co-workers were top-shelf people who kept their chins up and did their jobs.

Cons

Store management was not responsive to concerns about staffing issues and often had employees running the length and width of the 100,000 sq/ft building to wait on often angry customers. It was a terrible environment to work in.

Advice to Management

I know that BIG BOX is answerable to their shareholders, and that is the excuse given when hours are cut. But to expect minimum staff to man their business, do not feign puzzlement when you have enormous turnover rates. I saw several good employees run into the ground and quit or get fired. Get it together, retail higher-ups. Workers are getting tired of being treated like indentured servants.
