The culture that THD (at least) puts forth is admirable. Do the right thing, take care of your people – all good stuff.
The obvious pro is that Home Depot is one of the safest choices you could make, as they're here to stay.
I honestly feel duped. My technically oriented team, which is mostly out-of-state, worked remotely, and I dreamt of continuing to build my career here. However, the RTO mandate has stripped that away.
Even if we do relocate to Atlanta, Home Depot will not cover moving expenses and would not even improve salary post-inflation. We have had record-breaking years and some of the best sales days in history, only to be punished in this way.
And even if I do stay, the extent to which management caters to upper leadership's fear of change trumps any spark for real innovation, and our self-development is drowned.
Place more trust in your employees and understand that to remain competitive in this era is to allow them to make more fast-paced decisions that aren't held back by five or six layers of leadership. It's mind-numbing how much we could accomplish and improve if leadership stopped trying to reinvent the wheel (yet another sales print packet) and allowed its high performers to show them innovation.
The interview process was simple and well organized. Got a call back the day after applying to schedule an online interview. Enjoyed the process of interviewing with The Home Depot.
5-Step program: * Resume and cover letter submission * Email received with assessment link (soft skill logic questions and personality questions) * Second assessment with timed logic question section, more personality questions, and information rega
Two rounds: one phone interview (behavioral interview) and one technical interview with two parts. It is a group interview with two other interviewees. The two parts are code sorting and designing a mock database.
