Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - London, England

August 1, 2021
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

  1. HR call
  2. Hiring Manager round (went very well)
  3. 4 hr coding challenge (did well)
  4. Code review from PHD Scientist (Went very well; he was impressed and had no comments on my code)
  5. Panel interview 1 & 2
    • System design (Got positive acknowledgment for every system design decision/discussion I made; it went well)
  6. Panel interview 3
    • Coding/Problem solving: Arrived at a solution with the best complexity, O(1). Even then, the reaction was not okay from the interviewer. Racist, as I'm from India.
  7. Panel interview 4
    • Coding/Problem solving: Interviewer was totally impressed and happy.

At the end, I got an email on follow-up saying they could not proceed with my application, even though they received positive feedback. Basically, they want to play a racist game. Thanks, The Trade Desk, for wasting my time.

Guys, it's a time waste. Apply only if you know someone personally. They don't prefer real talent.
