Was called on campus for a short discussion about my projects and the ongoing projects at the company.
This round is basically there just to see how enthusiastic you are and what questions you ask. It lasted about 30 minutes.
Then, a take-home assignment is given to you, which is sent via email in 2-3 days' time. Although you have 30 days to complete the challenge, I recommend finishing it up in 2 days' time.
The coding assessment was to build a cache system that can be API-able. The cache should have an MRU algorithm and an LRU algorithm inbuilt, and a method for a user to provide a user-defined cache replacement algorithm as well. The whole process needs to be documented and given back exactly like an industry product.
I submitted the assignment in 2 days' time. I never heard back from the company after that, despite sending out multiple reminder emails, once each week.
Really unprofessional!
Design a Cache system with MRU, LRU, and custom algorithm.
