BI is not doing a good job, and neither are the leaders. No one has an idea why the user amount is going up or going down. Everyone is just trying to meet the company goal of increasing user amount and per-user revenue. Which is insane! If you get $50 per user, it is likely that those pros on Thumbtack will ask for a price $60 higher than Craigslist. In turn, users will leave Thumbtack.
There should at least be a prediction on how the company will do using historical data. And at which factors the business will change, and in what ways. It seems this model is not even under construction.
Target on what's valuable to users, not money.
