Process

The interview was 45 minutes in total. It was a medium LeetCode-style question, and the interviewer was nice. I solved the problem.

I was rejected the next day and still have no idea why.

TikTok Work Experiences

Intense work, low pay. The manager is not encouraging

SDE-intern • Current Employee

December 1, 2022

Pros: Intense work: improve your ability to handle stress.

Cons: Lowest pay among all my internships. Manager only kept telling you what he wanted you to do and never heard him say anything good for what you achieved. Endless work. Not much help. Everyone is super busy.

Good if you master Chinese

SDE-intern • Former Employee

September 3, 2022

Pros: 1. Benefits and compensation are great. WFH office compensation is $1000, even for an intern. 2. Clear on internship feedback. Mentor and manager will keep you noticed on the "Offer Trend".

Cons: 1. Worst work-life balance possible. My mentor has to work even on weekends. 2. Too much legacy code out of maintenance. It's painful to look at the codebase.
