A very negative experience. My mates and I were spammed by their recruiters.

One lead contacted me directly and said my experience suited their needs well, wanting me to have an interview.

In the second tech round, I found the interviewer was not concentrated. They interviewed neither anything related to the job nor to my experience.

Then I was rejected, and the recruiter said my experience didn't fit their needs. This situation was pretty similar to my other SWE mates who had interviews with TikTok.

I suspect they didn't sincerely want to recruit any Australia-based candidates. The recruitment, I guess, was either their KPI or a way to nominate overseas employees (e.g., their ByteDance HQ employees).
