Process
I applied online. The process took two weeks.
There were multiple stages, and it was impossible to get information out of HR, but there were quick responses. HR will tell you a time for the interview and does not give any further information on the contents of the interview or how many interviews are to go.
- 1st stage: LeetCode question.
- 2nd stage: Technical interview and LeetCode.

Pros: * Free food and drinks (including lunch)
* Health insurance
* Good office
* Great computers (latest MacBook Pro with lot of RAM)
* Interesting engineering challenges at large scale.
Cons: Most people speak only Chinese in the office.
There are a lot of extra hours (unpaid).
There are expectations that you work more hours than your contract.
Basically, they imported the 995 (9 am to 9 pm, 5 days a week) culture from China.
Local management and HR are dismissive about the overtime issues, considering them to be isolated cases.
Delivery expectations from the Product Manager are unrealistic, yet they don't want any pushback from engineering.
Many new hires are Chinese students, not helping with adopting Australian culture.
