The process took two weeks (not counting the OA to VA). I interviewed at TikTok (ByteDance).
The OA screen was on the difficult side, as expected: one easy, two medium, and two hard problems. I was invited to the Virtual Onsite interview after a couple of months.
Two months or so after the OA, I was invited to interview.
In the first round, I was asked a standard LeetCode medium problem on string parsing.
The second round was rather unique; I was asked a LeetCode medium problem to parse user data, with a follow-up consisting of optimizing the solution through parallel computing and external algorithms.
The third round was with the Hiring Manager, and I was asked a statistical problem (ML-related), which caught me off guard for a few seconds.
