Fast-paced work dealing with large-scale data.
Work-Life Balance is somewhat worse.
I am interviewing remotely for a Data Engineer position at TikTok. After the first round with HR, I immediately encountered SQL and Python questions. Overall, the process has been pretty smooth.
1. First round: basic questions like "Walk me through your past work experience" and "Why do you want to join TikTok?" 2. Second round: discuss Hadoop, Spark... and 1 SQL (optimize query), 1 Python (string question).
The recruiter is helpful. They will move on very fast if you pass the current round. There are 3-4 rounds in total, with the final round being a meeting with the hiring manager. SQL is very easy, but Python seems to be a bit tough for me.
