Fast-paced environment and ownership over my own projects as an intern.
Most of the employees there are mainland Chinese, despite the office being in Singapore. Quite a few of their documents are in Mandarin as well.
As long as your Mandarin is not bad, there will be no problems communicating with the other engineers at TikTok. Steps have been taken to ensure non-Chinese speaking colleagues can still work at TikTok, including auto-translation features built into their platform.
