The system design was relevant to the business and not a 'gotcha,' as it did not contain an overly specialized scenario requiring specialized tools, algorithms, or architecture to solve efficiently.

Pros: I can't think of any under the current leadership, especially its commerce and guest engineering leader.
Cons: The pay is not competitive. The company lacks a clear direction and only likes to chase "shiny objects". One of the "so-called" engineering leaders, who has created a very toxic culture within his org and keeps telling people "he has been a very senior leader for a long time" – he is not. He only likes to hire from Square and treats them preferentially.

Cons: Indian leadership has no spine. The US does not want to decentralize power. No good work comes to India.

Pros: Great co-workers. Parental leave is very generous.
Cons: The company only cares about the stock price and has fallen into yearly layoffs (spun as "streamlining") right before the earnings call. Benefits are cut, reviews are harder, and promotions are out of reach.
