Most of the senior interviewers were great. One technical interviewer carried a big ego and was the worst amongst all interviewers. Finally, they had a big say in the panel and cited un-obvious reasons to fail me.
One final observation: for the Principal Engineer level, software engineers were interviewing the candidate. I wish I had flagged this initially and not attended the interview, but I recommend others not to make this mistake. You should be interviewed by people either at or above the level you are interviewing for.
