The people here are really nice.
The entire codebase is a shitstorm. Fixing one thing breaks another, and management doesn't seem to care. Everything is outdated and barely works. I don't know how people are entrusting their business with this fragile product.
Start from scratch. The CEO thinks 5 years ahead; the codebase is 5 years behind.
