The recruiter started nothing and asked me to do white board coding directly. The whole interview was not so friendly. When I was writing code, he just worked with his own laptop. I guess they didn't really want to hire someone.

Cons: Engineering culture has become very fragmented. In the years since I started, the social community has faded, and it's harder to connect with engineers outside of your team. It's harder than it should be to switch teams, and hard to figure out how to advance your career.
