The interview process was alright, but I was let down by the internal recruiter who simply wasted my time. The first interview was all high-level: "tell us about yourself," salary, etc.
The second interview was a technical screen where I had to describe my relevant software experience and then work through a problem on CoderPad. The question was easy: implement the itoa function. Then, because there was more time, I was asked to review some code.
I was then sent a rejection email from the "no-reply" address after not getting a response from the recruiter for several days. I asked for feedback, and surprisingly, I got it. It turns out that my lack of front-end experience was a deal-breaker for them, despite the recruiter telling me directly in the first interview that this was totally fine and we should proceed.
I guess the recruiter thinks it’s okay to waste people’s time and effort like this.
Btw, the salary range I was given for this position was $120k-$140k.
Implement itoa.
Review the code.
Talk about what you did on previous projects and describe it from a technical perspective.
