Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

The initial phone interview went very well, so I was invited to an onsite interview.

The interviewers came into the room one at a time. As they spoke with me, they held a pen and notebook very tightly and constantly wrote notes. It was intimidating, and I felt like a patient under observation.

Questions

The first interviewer described a system to me that he called the h-score. The h-score is a score that publishers receive if articles they publish get citations in other articles.

A publisher gets an h-score of 'x' if they have written at least 'x' articles that each received 'x' citations.

Given an array with the number of citations per article, write a function to calculate the h-score for the publisher.
