QA Engineer - marketing solutions Interview Experience - Germany

Process

It was a junior role with a 0-1 year experience requirement. Their talent team approached me and gave me a case study. I submitted the case study within the deadline. A person with zero years of experience was expected to have wide knowledge of testing as well as marketing.

They liked my case study and I had a 2-hour video interview call.

I was asked in detail about my case study, and I answered all of it. I was asked some questions that only an experienced tester could answer, not a fresher.

They wanted a highly multi-talented person, i.e., someone with marketing and QA experience. However, they wanted to interview freshers who had very good knowledge of testing and marketing.

After the interview, the team leader told me that they needed someone who is a good learner and it's okay if he doesn't have experience, and then walked out, which was rude.

I was rejected after the video round of the interview.

When I asked for feedback because I really wanted to work on my weak points, I was sent an automated reply by two members from the interview panel.

Really? At least give proper feedback so that the candidate doesn't lose their confidence. Expecting experience from an inexperienced person is what the QA team from Trivago Düsseldorf does.
