I interviewed with the Engineering Lead directly via Skype.
From the beginning of the Skype session, it seemed like the Engineering Lead already had another person in mind, or perhaps wanted someone with specific "characteristic" specifications. However, it felt like these specifications were not related to technical abilities or soft skills.
The Engineering Lead asked some questions about my profile, and I asked questions about Trivago. Throughout the conversation, the interviewer seemed to be merely filling time, perhaps to report to his boss that he had interviewed the required number of candidates, but nothing more.
I would not expect such behavior from Trivago, and it was a really bad experience for me.
