Pros

Low workload, stress-free environment, nice people.

Cons

The business is declining and feel like will keep decline since we are just hoping the market becomes strong while our stategy is just doing what we were doing.

Advice to Management
  1. We need a change. Most managers grew up as maintainers, apparently not capable of bringing about change. How come? I think 360 reviews and office vibe made them. What's important to them is getting good feedback by being a good person. They know the problems but hesitate to make a change. We should get rid of 360 and office vibe.

  2. People in trivago don't work 40 hours per week. People at the bottom are yelling, not having much work. Don't believe people saying we are running out of people. Don't hire people for the time being.

  3. Many people in trivago actually use Booking.com for initial search rather than trivago. To be honest, did you use trivago a year ago? Our product needs a change. I know it's hard, but I believe the direction has to be that way. Micro-changes aren't enough.
