Process

A recruiter reached out to me about a role that turned out not to be a fit. However, the hiring manager suggested a different position with another team. That also turned out not to be a fit, but we agreed to stay in touch.

A couple of weeks later, they reached back out about yet another role. This time, I was invited onsite after the phone screen.

All three phone screens were fairly similar, with questions about my background and experience, what I was looking for, and information about Twilio.

The onsite interview was 4 hours long. It consisted of 30-45 minute interviews, except for the 90-minute coding portion.

There was a mix of algorithmic, database/API design, frontend, and behavioral questions, which felt well coordinated. I also received a schedule of who I would be meeting and the areas they would be focusing on a few days before. Everyone was welcoming and made me feel at ease.

The recruiter kept me updated promptly throughout the whole process. I appreciated that they appeared to care genuinely about finding a role I would be happy in.

Questions
