I only got as far as a phone screening interview with their recruiting team.
The role was advertised as a Solutions Architect, but the interviewer asked me, 'What made you apply for this Sales Engineer role?'
I had to clarify with him that this was an interview for a Solutions Architect.
Later in the call, he described the role as pre-sales.
It's an American company, and I'm UK-based, so perhaps there's some confusion around terminology.
Either way, no harm was done, but clearly, no offer was made, and I wouldn't have proceeded anyhow.
