Staff Software Engineer Interview Experience

August 27, 2020
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

This was one of the worst experiences ever.

It took two weeks to get positive feedback to move forward. The recruiter stated she needed to go back and check with the team regarding the offer, and that took another week.

Then, one week later, she came back saying that due to a re-organization, extending the offer needed extra approval.

I don't know what's going on internally, but this is definitely a bad experience.

The recruiter also didn't seem to respect my schedule or communication preferences. She never responded to emails. Later, I gave up on emails and tried messaging her, and she would call back directly. It felt like my message just reminded her that she still had to work on my case.

Questions
