Uber reached out regarding their ATG team and began their interview process. I spoke with a recruiter and then the engineering hiring manager. The hiring manager spoke briefly and mentioned that there is a take-home assignment to do before any on-site interviews.
It took them a week to even send over the homework assignment, which was to design a flashlight mount that mounted a flashlight in a certain configuration to several mounting points and also included thermal and modal analysis. This wasn't a trivial assignment at all, and it took around 10-15 hours of my time. After submission, they totally ghosted and never replied to multiple follow-up emails.
Long story short, take notice and DON'T INTERVIEW HERE.
