The scheduled 30-minute phone interview, conducted via email, was very timely. A man walked me through a few categories of questions meant to more specifically define my strengths and weaknesses. The interviewer stressed that this was not necessarily to filter out candidates but to group them according to like qualities for further filtering later. Categories included:

• C++
• OpenGL
• Datastructures
• Networking

Afterwards, the interviewer answered a few questions I had about future interview processes. I did not want to keep him on the line too long, as I imagine he tries to stick to 30-minute bursts. He was very polite and positive, and clearly knew what he was talking about, which is a first in my experience with interviews involving technical skills.
