The interview process wasn’t too bad. It included:
- One CodeSignal assessment
- Two algorithm interviews
- A system design round
Unfortunately, I was ghosted after the final interviews. The recruiter mentioned wanting to have a follow-up conversation, so I sent over my availability. However, I never received a response.

Pros: Many good people to have fun with. Some engineers are very skilled.
Cons: Internal politics ruins morale. Some of the teams are led by tech leads and managers who are not professional and stay in Uber only because of strong connections with similar higher-level managers. If you are hired by such a team, you are stuck: internal transfers are allowed only on the same level and after a year in one team – you cannot grow by moving between teams.
