Process

I applied online for Uber ATG. A recruiter contacted me.

After one phone screen, I was invited for an onsite interview. The onsite consisted of:

  • Three technical rounds
  • Two behavioral rounds

I thought I did well, but I must have been rejected because of the design round.

The most positive experience in the whole interview process was getting the chance to ride in their self-driving cars.

I received the result back within a week.

Questions

Phone screen: Given an integer array, find the number of triplets that have a sum more than a particular value.

Round 1 (45 min): Behavioral round with a manager. Asked me a ton of questions about my past work experience and all sorts of behavioral questions; nothing technical.

Round 2 (1 hr): General system design round about some traffic control system and some mathematical questions about the angle between lines, etc.

Round 3 (1 hr): Reservoir sampling related problem.

Round 4 (45 min): Again behavioral. Told me about his team and work, asked me about my past work experience, what I am looking for in my next job, blah blah.

Round 5 (1 hr): Valid parenthesis problem with some modifications.
