Pros: Good and very capable engineers

Cons: Over-engineering sometimes, not a lot of conscience on error handling.

Pros: Fantastic culture, talented coworkers, generous benefits, and great and honest management.

Cons: Can’t think of a con—great place to work.

Pros: I have experience working for three of the top software companies in the Bay Area and have recently started working for Uber. I joined Uber among a handful of different other offers. I was a little doubtful before starting but am more than happy about my decision after spending some time there. It is a great place to work with lots of opportunities to grow. It still has its startup culture, focusing on rapid development and growth and avoiding common bureaucracy at larger companies. Everyone is friendly and supportive, and you immediately feel like part of the family.

Cons: While its catered food quality is better than many of the other tech companies in the Bay Area, it can still be improved. Considering the fact that the company grew from a few employees to hundreds in a very short time, I am sure the problem will be taken care of soon. The variation and types of food catered are not that many, although the quality of the ingredients used is good.
