Firstly, I was approached by a recruiter who found my LinkedIn profile. The job description's title was "Sr. Software Engineer - Frontend (Hiring Events 2021)". I waited for almost two weeks for the recruiter to get back to me with the next steps.

The recruiter then asked me to apply to the official posting for "Sr. Software Engineer - Frontend (Hiring Events 2021)". Two weeks after that, I received an email from the internal recruiter inviting me to a CodeSignal test. I completed the test, and within the next five days, I had a one-hour technical video interview scheduled.

On the day of the interview, two engineers were on the call. The first one led the interview, while the second was observing. I had received the interview format beforehand.

Next, we moved to a code-sharing exercise. I was able to navigate through the problem and provide a considered solution. Although the interviewers appeared disengaged for the entire hour, I remained enthusiastic and expressed my excitement about the company and the interview.

At the end, I asked general questions about the product, but they were unsure which department the role belonged to. At that point, I realized they were likely going through the motions and didn't seem genuinely invested.

I left the interview expecting rejection, as their demeanor suggested a lack of care.
