Lovely people, but uncertain future

Pros: Almost without exception, the people I worked with here have been lovely.
The company used to, and still does to an extent, have empathy as an emphasis for how work is done. For the parts of the company I have worked in, you can tell.
People treat each other with respect and kindness.
Cons: There has been a steady stream of layoffs for several years, and it is quite demoralizing always wondering if you will be in the next one.
The reductions in force mean that from an engineering side there are a lot of things that need maintaining without a lot of people to do that work. It seems every team is under-resourced.

Pros: Unity engine is very impactful and rewarding work. It offers a flexible work/life balance and great people.
Cons: Company first. Rough couple of years with cost cutting, redundancies, and constant reorganizations and leadership changes.

Cons: The company has been laying people off for the last year. Reorgs are happening every 6 months, and the product team has a lot of gaps.
