Process
Amazing reps, smooth discussion, and the team talk was good as well. I didn't get an offer, but the entire process was worth it. I learned plenty from the questions asked and interacting with the lead.

Fun Work, Amazing Culture
Software Engineer • Current Employee
April 5, 2021
Pros: The work at Unity is so fun, and the culture is amazing!
Cons: No cons that I can think of.
1.0
Chaotic, disorganized, and stingy
Software Engineer • Current Employee
San Francisco, California, United States
July 14, 2018
Pros: Work can be fun and exciting. Most times, it is overwhelming.
Cons: Lack of career and salary advancement and incompetent management are great reasons to stay away from Unity. Most people also leave for those reasons.
Upper management always sells exciting and impactful work as reasons to work at Unity. Unfortunately, exciting work doesn't pay rent in the SF Bay Area. And it's difficult to be excited about your work when you are always drowned in technical debt.
Oh, and don't be surprised if you are expected to work crazy hours. There is no WLB. HR would probably respond to this by saying that this is not true and it's not the norm. It's a bunch of BS, really.

Nice to work for, pay not great
Software Engineer • Current Employee
May 12, 2021
Pros: Nice people to work with, with lots of creative minds involved.
Cons: Not paid very well. When there's WFH, most of the benefits that offset the low salary aren't available anymore (company events, trips, catering, etc.).
