Pros
  • Work/life balance, if you don't include the stress from when management implements their next get-rich-quick scheme.
  • Amazing coworkers.
  • Good office environment.
  • Interesting challenges.
Cons
  • Culture and values have become empty corporate words.
  • Leadership do not listen at all. At the time of writing this, Unity decided on the most insane runtime fee, despite a lot of very loud warnings from everyone that this was not thought out and makes no sense.
  • Diversion & Inclusion: being woke is more important than being competent at your job.
  • We don't care about the customers anymore; most don't have an alternative or choice anyway.
  • Compensation is below average, but stock options are given to compensate. However, the value of the stocks is variable. Some employees got trapped with massive tax debts due to stock price changes and no sell-to-cover options for some countries.
Advice to Management

Advice for the board: It's time to fire JR and the gang of yes people in leadership who, time and time again, are ruining the future of Unity for short-term profit.
