Typical benefits of a Bay Area tech company.
Not a whole lot, really. Interesting work will only get you so far.
Let's see, where should I start.
Work-life balance? Nope. I don't know how others get their WLB. They're probably not in engineering. I know for a fact that it's a big FAT lie. Don't be surprised if you get messaged late at night for trivial things like: "Hey, how come your bug fix A isn't working in staging?"
I had a very negative compensation review experience with my manager. We had an agreed-upon increase, but my actual increase was way lower than promised. Very disappointing. I also know a couple of recent hires who were promised managerial positions got positioned as individual contributors as a result of team re-shuffling.
Apparently, after talking to my colleagues, this bait-and-switch strategy is not uncommon.
Measly stock options and compensation. You are expected to work hard until late night and on weekends, but don't expect that you are going to be rewarded for it.
Overall, I wish I had not joined this organization.
Please value your employees. Fringe benefits are nice and all, but engineers are humans too. They have lives outside of work.
Contacted by HR, followed by several rounds of tech and behavioral interviews by the team manager and seniors. Questions vary by team and are at an average level, not limited to the form.
The interview process was a very nice experience with Unity. I lived out of state at the time, and they flew me in and set me up with a nice hotel. The interview itself also went great. Everyone involved was super friendly, and nothing felt confusi
I had a very positive experience interviewing at Unity Technologies. My recruiter was very responsive and scheduled my interviews quickly. The interview process lasted 3 weeks and consisted of: * A phone screen * A Coderpad challenge * A 4-hour in
