I applied online.
Received initial phone screen with recruiter which went well. Recruiter informed me that the next technical interview was going to dive into a project I worked on and have a thorough discussion with one of their lead/senior engineers.
Just from the behavior of the engineer I totally knew I was not getting another interview as he immediately seemed disinterested and unfocused. He seemed to be more focused on another work/meeting he just got out of.
Thinking he would lead into discussion of the project, I waited to not fully discuss the project which in the end NEVER happened. He ended up asking random questions which do not at all evaluate my technical knowledge or skillset related to the role.
Overall it seemed like an interview where the interviewee has to really sell themself and lead the entire process (which I understand is sometimes just part of the process, but in this case did not get that vibe as it seemed bad right off that bat).
Asked why I attended the university I graduated from, even though it had been 5+ years of me leaving college? While this could be asked, it just was odd that there were no questions on any of my professional experience at all.
