The process took 2 weeks.

• Recruiter reached out to chat about the role and assess interest
• HR screening
• React coding interview
• Behavioral interview
• Algorithms coding interview
• Another behavioral interview (never got to the other interviews)
• System design interview
• Presentation about something you've worked on

Someone mentioned even a final interview after everything. Rejected between interviews 6 and 7.

Suggestions on how to improve the process:

• Reduce the number of interviews. 8-9 separate ones is a lot, especially if you have to prepare a presentation.
• Let candidates finish the interviews. Attending a virtual onsite is tiring, so one less-than-ideal interview among other positive ones should not derail the entire process.
• The algorithms question was completely contrived, make it relevant to the job.
• Ask questions about the specific job. If you want to know about leadership examples, do not ask generic "tell me a time when," instead add to that question "in a leadership capacity..."
