In my first interview round, the interviewer was very positive throughout about my experience and skills. I politely requested at the end of the interview to be informed of the next steps or provided with any feedback in the coming days.
However, the company totally ghosted me. No one ever got back to me, despite the person assuring me at the time of the interview that she was impressed with me.
I don't mind being rejected, as a company may have its own reasons, or another candidate may be a better fit for the role. But it's a definite red flag if the company does not have the professional courtesy to even inform the outcome to the candidate.
