Cons: Micromanagement is everywhere, senior managers and team leads are only good at playing office politics. The overreliance on Jira has made the company’s processes even more rigid. There is no such thing as work-life balance, benefits have been decreasing year after year, and the pay is negligible compared to the workload. The leadership seems to harbor a subtle bias against those who have experience at big North American companies, as if having such experience is a crime rather than an asset. They often promote “work from everywhere” as a selling point, but this perk only applies to non-associate roles. To ensure employees can supposedly “create more value” from home, it’s common to have meetings at 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. As for “diversity,” it seems to be practiced only in favor of certain specific ethnic groups.

Pros: The Founder & CEO is very humble and comes into office almost everyday for work. I can go up to him and say hi. He casually chats with new engineers. Lunch is free, and work-life balance is nice. CEO shows that he is only interested in long-term growth for the company and is conservative on hiring to reduce the chances of layoffs. We have an internal Facebook system that allows you to learn about and reach out to anyone from any department. Open door policy. Management is respected for their knowledge and experience by young employees.

Cons: People say 401K match is not as high as other companies. I think that's true. But all the basic tech company benefits are there. Promotions/salary progression is not very transparent, as any other big company. The offices are located outside of the big cities, which is a con for a young social person like me. Documentation and training can be improved.
