Since I was only in my second year of college, they didn't ask many technical questions but mostly behavioral. They were very nice, gave me an in-person interview on campus, then gave me a couple of phone interviews. I was offered the internship!

No Respect for Employees' Vacation Time (Time Off)

Pros: Not being unemployed and homeless.
(Getting a paycheck).
Cons: There is an increasing trend now in engineering (June 2022) where employees who are *supposed to* be on vacation are increasingly checking in on conference calls, Slack messages, emails, and reports during their time off or scheduled vacation.
The whole point of vacation time is to disconnect from the always-on, burnout culture that is being fostered by leadership at Verizon.
Don't be fooled; it is becoming all about the metrics, reports, and 100 MPH+ productivity, without regard or respect for employees' vacation time or personal time away.
