MTS-2 Software Engineer • Former Employee
Pros: 1. Good leave policies.
2. Freedom to explore the domain and provide suggestions.
3. Good compensation in terms of only share amount and 100% variable payout every time.
4. Women employees have better work benefits, good travel support, leave, and WFH benefits.
5. The organization on the whole takes good care of the well-being of employees. The perks given are really good.
Cons: 1. The workflow is not beneficial for the developers, which might affect their learning progress. If you aspire to become a technical expert, this is not the place.
2. Most of the technical work is taken care of by vendors as per the directions from leadership, which leaves full-time employees with very minimal technical knowledge exposure.
3. The Agile methodology implemented in the GTS org structure is one of the worst, where nobody has control over what work is done and when.
4. With people getting promoted prematurely to leadership roles, there is no clarity for folks on guiding the team to a combined victory.
5. Hikes are good, but the revised policies add the majority of the hike percentage into variable pay instead of basic pay. This keeps a check on employees who decide to part ways with the organization in the middle of a year or even after completing 11 months of the year, as they become ineligible to receive the variable pay.
