Great Co-workers, Frustrating Mindset
I came into Verizon via the MCI acquisition. VZ was a great place to work, with an excellent salary and excellent benefits. My co-workers in my group were great. My job was eliminated due to corporate restructuring and reorganization.
Many employees are of the mind-set that "is not my job," and then you would get nowhere further fast. This part of the job was very frustrating.
Management should always ask for the background of an employee when they join the group. Several of my managers never asked for my background, level of expertise, etc.
