In the San Jose office you'll find amazing, kind people who were a pleasure to work with. Great perks including frequent catering, a great cafeteria, and a beautiful river trail behind the office.
The leadership is not in the same mindset as the rest of Silicon Valley, and this manifests itself quite unfortunately. Salaries are low-balled, causing Verizon to fail to retain the best tech talent.
Try to think like the Valley thinks. Realize that what works on the East Coast will not necessarily work on the West. Pay more respect to talent.
