Pros

Great benefits package, tuition assistance, matching 401k contributions, and profit sharing. I have had the pleasure of developing several fantastic mentors and have expanded my value add through learning new skills.

Cons

Completion for leadership roles becomes more challenging each year as the organization flattens. There is a conspicuous lack of formal leadership training and development programs for those seeking to continue growing their careers.

Advice to Management

Aside from the need for a formal leadership development program to grow tomorrow's leaders, employee recognition has deteriorated over the last ten years. While programs like the excellence awards and the leaders circle may not have appealed to everyone, the opportunity for public recognition of a job well done and all the pomp and circumstance that went with it was a much greater motivation to me than the current random thumbprint pin awarded at a quarterly review.
