Very reasonable process. I was interviewing for a frontend role as someone who had more backend experience but was self-taught in frontend. The recruiter screen followed by a technical phone screen with a very relevant programming problem, something you’d actually do on the job. The final round involved some team one-on-ones for culture fit, which included meeting the hiring manager who asked good and deep questions about past projects, contributions, etc. I did a system/API design problem with a principal engineer, which was a pretty collaborative and straightforward problem (e.g., design a ride-sharing system). And I think one other reasonable live programming problem.
Tell me about something you tried to improve at your last company. How did it go, and what did you learn?
