Everything seemed normal, and I received a verbal offer via email. I replied and accepted the offer. However, just one day later, they withdrew it for no valid reason. According to the recruiter, they gave the offer to another candidate.
I have no idea what happened behind the scenes, but this is definitely bad business practice, especially for such a large company. My speculation is that perhaps the other candidate initially rejected the offer but later accepted it, thus causing chaos in the process.
In your past project, if you were to do it again, what could you improve?
